Mother's Day Bears

Mother's Day was a stream of spectacular surprises. Mom to two great men, Colin and Ross completely surprised me at a restaurant arranged by my beautiful daughter-in-law, Cassie. My glow and awe was felt through the whole shines especially from a Mom's heart.

A beautiful long, long, walk with our trio family at home with my husband Alan and our beautiful english Springer, "Rigby" rounded out the day with fulfilling talk about love and family.

Then evening starts to set, we're now outside looking into our woods, Rigby still as a rock. Alan and I both looked and saw an unusual black stump we had not seen before and realized...OMG it has ears!!! For 25 minutes we followed a Momma bear and her year old cubs enjoy our property and bird feeders, saw them climb a tree when a jogger ran by on the road..jogger had no idea three bears were within 10 feet!! Momma was calm looking out for them, baby bears were attentive and then disappointed our bird feeder was empty from the day's birds feasting. They left with swiftness onto the neighbors and beyond sight.

Have to be honest, it was terrifying at first and then completely exhilarating. Human animal and nature's animal all the same of  Mom's love on the best Mother's Day Ever!
