COMING OCTOBER 2026

Hearing wellness, now a service your practice can offer.

Unlimited hearing screenings and species-specific sound therapy for veterinary clinics, shelters, and animal organizations — in one subscription.

Platform access opens mid-October 2026.

What your subscription includes

Unlimited hearing screenings

Screen every patient, as often as clinically useful. No per-screening charge and no cap on volume.

Client-facing result reports

Each screening produces a PDF report in three result categories — Clear, Reduced, Absent — written for the pet owner and ready to file in the patient record.

Biometric sound therapy

Species-specific sound therapy streams through the platform, so your team can apply it during exams, in recovery, and in boarding without additional equipment.

Practice dashboard

Every screening, patient, and report in one place, filterable by clinician, patient, and location.

How it works

1 — Screen

A guided, startle-based protocol your technician runs chairside. Stimuli are delivered by frequency band across the canine and feline hearing range.

2 — Report

Results resolve to Clear, Reduced, or Absent, and generate a client report the owner takes home.

3 — Respond

Where hearing is reduced or absent, sound therapy gives you something to offer — a pathway between an otitis check and a referral for BAER.

The science underneath it

Pet Acoustics has spent more than two decades studying how companion animals actually process sound. The science behind the platform includes eight peer-reviewed biometric studies across dogs, cats, and horses, a catalog of more than 160 biometric music compositions, and a patent-pending screening protocol now used in 318 clinics across 86 countries.

More than 10,615 hearing screenings have been completed on the protocol to date, making it the largest hearing screening dataset in companion animal practice.

Plans and pricing

A service you can bill for

Hearing screening is a chargeable service, and your practice sets the fee. At $20 to $35 per screening, a Solo Practice subscription is covered by five to eight patients a month. Screenings are unlimited, so every patient after that is margin.

Annual plans are billed once at two months free. Enterprise agreements are quoted per network. The shelter rate is reserved for registered nonprofit organizations and is confirmed before an account is activated.

For shelters and rescues

Sound shapes how an animal experiences a kennel environment. Shelters and registered rescue organizations subscribe at $49 a month, with unlimited screenings and sound therapy included.

Practice management integration

The Hearing Wellness API connects the platform to your practice management system, so screening results and reports sync into the patient record rather than living in a separate tab. Integration is configured from your admin panel.
